At the head of the Greek delegation which went to the Holy Land was Pavlos, Metropolitan of Glyfada, while the Government was represented by the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dimitris Dollis. At the head of the delegation from the Church of Greece which received the Holy Light was Nikolaos, Metropolitan of Mesogaia. The ‘TROPOS’ Byzantine Choir, under the direction of Constantinos Angelidis, sang to greet the arrival of the Holy Light. The Exarch of the Holy Sepulchre, Archimandrite Damianos, after the reception ceremony, brought the Holy Light to the Exarchate of the Holy Sepulchre in Plaka, Athens; it was taken from there by the priests of the churches of Athens.
